24 Hour Comics Day Hour 7

I have finished the pencils for the first twelve pages now, and have inked almost 9 pages.  I am taking some time for breakfast right now.  Cheese and turkey-bacon omelet.  Mmm-mmm.

The sun rise was very nice this morning.  It’s remarkable how many things we miss while we sleep.

24 Hour Comics Day Hour 5

without comments

Well, I’m almost a quarter of the way through the day and I have the pencils done for the first six pages and I am starting on the inks.  I am going to ink the easier pages first and the get to the more complicated ones, and after I have inked these twelve I’ll started the sketches for the last half.

I didn’t mention it before, but the subject of this comic is the ancient Buddhist legend of Angulimala.

Wow this is slow going.  Time to make some coffee.

with 2 comments

Today, Saturday October 18th, is Twenty Four Hour Comics Day! As of midnight, eastern standard time, your ever so humble cartoonist has embarked upon an epic journey.  The mission: to create a full 24 page comic book in the span of 24 hours.  I will be blogging about it in real time throughout the day so stay tuned for my progress.

Let the micron be my sword.

Let the micron be my sword.

And so it begins.
